There are, of course, lots of reasons to love Channing Tatum. Not only is he hot and talented and sweet...and hot, he's also hilarious and not afraid to act silly! We saw it first when he hosted SNL, and it was more evident than ever this Tuesday night in New York as Channing performed on stage at a rainforest benefit with Elton John!
Revlon's Concert for the Rainforest was held at Carnegie Hall and featured lots of celebrity appearances. But Channing and Elton's song-and-dance number was by far the best. The routine was absolutely hysterical -- Elton sang Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend while Channing used moves from his, ahem, pre-Hollywood stripper days to provide dance backup. But let's face it -- Channing wasn't just a backup dancer, he totally stole the show!
Dressed in a Cabaret-inspired outfit of black pants, black vest, and bowler hat, Channing bumped, grinded and gyrated with Elton. According to E! Online, Elton even pinched Channing's butt at one point! After the hilarious routine was over, Elton said to the crowd, "It has become a custom at these shows for me to humiliate myself." But hey, can we blame him? Channing Tatum doing a sexy dance all up in your business is completely worth pretty much any level of public humilation!
I was lucky enough to go to the dress rehearsal of Channing Tatum's Saturday Night Live hosting gig, and it was immediately evident that the guy is a great sport and will do just about anything. Don't you just love when celebrities don't take themselves too seriously and aren't afraid to act silly? Yeah, me too.
