It's finally happening! After years of publicly trying to have a child, through failed IVF treatments and even a disheartening miscarriage, Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill Rancic will finally have a child late this summer. E! News broke the couple's happy news on Monday morning.
So...why no baby bump for the mom-to-be? Well, that's because the couple will be having their child through a gestational surrogate, meaning the baby will geneticially be Giuliana and Bill's, but another woman will give birth to he or she. On the Today Show Monday morning, the Rancic's revealed their surrogate is a woman from Colorado. They also shared that they do in fact know the sex of their unborn child, but are trying to keep it a secret for as long as they can.
Meanwhile, this happy news is even doubly as exciting for this couple, who has endured so much over the last few years. Giuliana and Bill have documented their troubles conceiving on their reality show, and on top of that, Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer this fall. "One of the things we've always tried to do is help others with our story," Bill explained. "Whether it's with the infertility issues, whether it's with the breast cancer, we've said, 'We're going to turn these negatives into positives.' If we can help others by sharing our story, then it's worth it."
This was the last option for Giuliana and Bill to try and have a child, so they are obviously over the moon about the success they've finally had!
Do you think the Rancic's will have a boy or a girl!? Any ideas on baby names?!
