America's favorite superheroes didn't just beat out Harry Potter at the box office; they completely blew him out of the water...

The Avengers topped the box office this weekend, raking in over $200 million and taking over the #1 spot for the biggest opening weekend of all time in North American history. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 had previously held the title with $169.2 million.

The action packed superhero flick also added $152.5 million to it's overseas total this weekend bringing the international total to $441.5 million. Worldwide, The Avengers have earned an astonishing $641.8 million in just over a week.

Think Like a Man came in at a not-so-close second with $8 million. The Hunger Games is still going strong, coming in third with $5.7 million. And rounding out the top five are The Lucky One with $5.5 million and The Pirates! Band of Misfits with $5.4 million.

We all knew that The Avengers would do great, but who knew it'd make over $200 million?
