With the 65th Annual Cannes Film Festival getting underway this week, we know there's a ton of great fashion and red carpet moments to look forward to, but with so many big fashion moments in the past, stars this year have a lot to live up to!

In honor of the next few weeks at Cannes, we're taking a look back at some of the most memorable fashion moments of the festival from the last few years. From Angelina Jolie to Natalie Portman to Charlize Theron, we're going all the way back to 2004 for some of the best Cannes looks. Click through the gallery to check 'em all out!

Angelina and her fiance Brad Pitt are two of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood, so at a major film event like this, it's no surprise that Angie is always dressed to impress. However, one of her most memorable looks was just last year in 2011, in her signature, strapless Versace look. Here, though, Angelina went for a poofier style than her usual fitted strapless, in a rich, brown color and slit up to her thigh. Absolutely stunning!

Meanwhile, Eva Longoria ruled Cannes in 2010 with several gorgeous gowns, but stood out especially in this Naeem Kahn glitzy, light blue, gem-encrusted, floor length gown with a slight train. Mischa Barton, who has gotten a lot of criticism for her fashion choices in the past, managed to get it together at the festival in 2009, wearing a gorgeous, white, floor length gown with a sequined, black, one shouldered strap -- the picture of elegance!
