Mad Men star Jon Hamm recently filmed a guest-stint on the new IFC show Comedy Bang! Bang!, in which musician/comedian Reggie Watts welcomes celebrity guests -- and makes them sing! And once again, Jon proved that he's one of the funniest guys on the face of planet Earth.

Reggie provided the smooth beats while Jon talked/sang about the many splendors of the 1970s sitcom Taxi, which starred Judd Hirsch, Danny DeVito, Marilu Henner, Tony Danza, Christopher Lloyd, Jeff Conaway, and Andy Kaufman as employees of a cab company in New York City. As Jon, who is clearly a Taxi superfan, rapped, "Touching, funny, emotional, real. There are the things that make Taxi."

Phrases like "Okie doke! That's Reverend Jim. He came along in the later seasons. A lot of people thought they jumped the shark. I thought the show got better," probably don't mean much to anyone whose never seen Taxi, but even if you don't get the references, you can totally still appreciate how Jon so masterfully comes up with this free-association tribute on the spot like this. (And if you've never seen Taxi, you should rent it. It's hilarious.)

Though Jon made it big with the ultra-serious role of Don Draper on Mad Men, he has proven himself as a geniune funnyman over the years, through his SNL appearances and roles on 30 Rock and Bridesmaids. And this latest performance might just earn him the title of Coolest Guy Ever.

Comedy Bang! Bang! premieres on IFC June 8. Other celebs who are scheduled to appear include Amy Poehler, Seth Rogen, Adam Scott, and Elizabeth Banks!
