It was a night full of great music and fun on Tuesday's finale of season two of The Voice, but in the end, a winner had to be chosen from either team Blake Shelton, team Christina Aguilera, team CeeLo Green or team Adam Levine.
With each artist taking part in three performances on Monday night, it was definitely a tough decision, left entirely in the hands of voters, whereas throughout the rest of the season, the artists' coaches had some pull in who would stay and who would go. So who can call themselves "THE VOICE"...and which celeb coach will now officially have bragging rights?! The winner of season two is R&B artist Jermaine Paul, formerly a backup singer for Alicia Keys, from team Blake! Separated by just four percent, rocker Juliet Simms of team CeeLo took the second place spot. Meanwhile, former Mickey Mouse Club member Tony Lucca, of team Adam, took third place, while classical singer Chis Mann of team Christina rounded out the top four.
Considering Adam spent most of the blind auditions during season two trying to persuade artists to pick his team because his artist Javier Colon won season one, we're sure to see Blake doing much of the same when the show returns. Although Blake and Jermaine seemed an unlikely pair, with Blake being from country music roots, the two got super close during the whole process, and Blake was absolutely thrilled when Jermaine was announced as the winner, storming the stage and yelling, "You did it! You did it!" An emotional Jermaine gave a final performance of R. Kelly's I Believe I Can Fly while hugging his wife on stage and celebrating with the rest of the teams.
Of course, many who don't follow The Voice still tuned in on Tuesday night for another special reason -- the first ever live performance of Justin Bieber's Boyfriend! A few weeks ago, Justin went to the show to release a sneak peek clip from the vid and promised host Carson Daly that he'd be back for the finale to perform. If you missed the performance last night (or just want to watch it again...), well...here ya go!:
Who do you think should have won The Voice?!
