Alec Baldwin knows how to set the tone for an engagement!
The actor is denying claims that he punched a New York Daily News photographer after picking up a marriage license with his fiancee, according to CBS News. Alec spoke to Charlie Rose on his PBS program and said he was merely defending himself after the photographer almost hit him with his lens.
The scandal went down after the photographer began snapping pics of Alec and his fiancee after they left the courthouse to get their marriage license. The actor claimed he pushed the photographer away after he lunged and almost hit him with his camera, but the paparazzi member is saying that Alec struck him in a fit of rage.
Alec also said the photographer had plenty of opportunities to take pictures of him, but instead chose to invade his privacy. "We make ourselves available as an obligation per our contract to our employers to represent the product and help to sell the product. And then when I walk out the door, that's over," he said. "When the guy jumps out of the bushes with a camera and tries to take a picture of my kid, they want to say to you, 'Well, here's another appointment you have with the press.'"
