It kind of seems like everywhere you go lately there's some sort of advertisement for Tom Cruise's new flick Rock of Ages.
So, with all the hyped up ads and all star cast (also including Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand and Julianne Hough), expectations were high for the movie's opening weekend, but unfortunately the rock and roll film didn't do as well as expected. In fact, the film debuted third on it's opening weekend, grossing $15.1 million and falling behind Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted and Prometheus, both of which had already been in theaters for a week.
Another big flop this weekend?! Adam Sandler's Just My Boy, which also stars Leighton Meester and Andy Samberg. This film grossed $13 million and came in at number five, falling behind the three-week-old Snow White and the Huntsman. Hmm...looks like older big names like Tom and Adam are going to have to start stepping it up to impress movie-goers of this generation, huh?!
What movie are YOU most excited to see this summer?! Batman?! The Amazing Spiderman?! Let us know!
