When you're marrying a Hollywood legend like Matthew McConaughey there isn't a shortage of fashion designers who would do anything to design your wedding gown. So which coveted fashion house did Camila Alves choose to design her gown.... Vera Wang? Chanel? Versace? None of the above!!
Camila went with Brazilian dress designer Ducamo Castelo Branco, who happens to be a family friend. Camila told PEOPLE, "Ducamo has been making wedding dresses for her entire life." Camila has known the 78-year-old designer "since she was a young girl growing up in Brazil," PEOPLE reported. The Brazilian model, now known as Mrs. Camila McConaughey, added, "I guess you can say she has been planning this design for over 20 years."
Ducamo and a team of eight Brazilian women worked on the dress together, with Camila making a quick trip to Brazil to help out. "I went to Brazil for a day and a half to work on the dress. I left and I just had to trust them. They finished the dress 22 days later."
Pictures of the beautiful bride in her custom gown hit newsstands tomorrow in the latest issue of PEOPLE magazine, or you can see one pic now by clicking here.
