Just because it's a lyric doesn't mean you can say it--or Tweet it!

Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted her way into a firestorm yesterday after being invited on stage with Jay-Z and Kanye West in France this weekend while they performed their song "N***** in Paris." That's according to The Hollywood Gossip. But when The Dream posted a photo on Gwyneth's Twitter page of her on stage, her reply of "N***** in Paris for real" immediately went viral. Not smart!

Once Gwyneth recognized the backlash, she took to Twitter again to defend herself. "Hold up. It's the title of the song!" she wrote. But that didn't seem to be enough for her followers. It looked like Gwyneth was about to receive the Twitter equivalent of being burned at the stake until The Dream stepped in to clear her name!

"Fyi Sorry for the Confu I typed Ni**as in paris for real from Gwens Phone my bad I was Fkd up please excuse it! We were lit!" he wrote. While that got the attention off Gwyneth, the negative feedback then turned directly to The Dream, who launched into a Twitter war defending his use of the word.

What do you think of Gwyneth/The Dream's use of the N word?
