What Happened: Wesley's attempt to escape the tax man was so outrageous that a judge sentenced him to three years in prison for willfully failing to file tax returns. The judge also ruled that he must pay up to $17 million in back taxes plus penalties and interest. Wesley paid $15 million of it on the spot and began serving his sentence in December 2010. What Happened: Compared to all the other legal drama Lindsay has faced over the years, unpaid taxes doesn't even seem that bad. Nevertheless, Lindsay owed $140,000 for unpaid taxes in 2010 and still hadn't cut the government any money from $93,000 owed in 2009. How Much He Owed: $4.8 million
Year He Owed It: 2005-present
What Happened: It looks like R. Kelly had some skeletons trapped in his closet that included some outrageous payments owed to Uncle Sam! The IRS claimed earlier this month that the singer owes more than $4.8 million on taxes dating back to 2005. What's even crazier is that R. Kelly owed more at one point! He's paid $2.6 million in back taxes in 2008 and $1 million last year, but isn't even close to saddling up on his tax debt. This also resulted in his mansion going into foreclosure last year, with the R&B crooner owing $2.9 million on the property.
