Who knew that The Situation could be a sympathetic figure?

The Sitch, aka Mike Sorrentino, has been working hard on his recovery after leaving a Utah rehab facility last April for an addiction to prescription pills. Clubgoers on the Jersey Shore don't seem to be embracing his new lifestyle though and have been repeatedly taunting him for getting sober, according to Radar Online. Yikes!

A show insider said that The Situation has been harassed at clubs on more than one occasion for not drinking. "He has been handling it pretty well but it can get embarrassing and awkward for him to consistently be harassed for it," said the insider. "It has been hard for him to deal with at times because his sobriety is still rather new."

Although the obvious solution would be to stay home, The Situation doesn't feel that going out will harm his recovery. He's remained on the wagon and has been far more low-key in the Jersey Shore house this year, often choosing to spend more time with a pregnant and alcohol-free Snooki at her nearby beach house. Who knew those two would end up being the low-key members of the group!
