Emily Maynard is no longer a heart-broken bachelorette... for now! The single mom had quite the fairytale ending on the season finale of The Bachelorette on Sunday night -- and yes, it did include a proposal!
So, as we know, the competition came down to the final two guys: Jef Holm and Arie Luyendyk, but it was Jef who finally got to put a ring on it (SPOILER ALERT: Arie didn't even get a CHANCE)! Of course, with two full hours to fill, a lot more went down than Jef just getting down on one knee.
After both guys spent one-on-one time with Emily's family, it still seemed like a pretty evenly-matched competition. Luckily, Emily wasn't quite as indecisive as the rest of her fam! The next day she went on a date with Jef, and although wasn't originally planning on introducing the guys to her daughter Ricki, she completely 180-ed and took Jef to meet her six-year-old. Helping to solidify Emily's decision, Ricki took an instant liking to Jef (much different than her first meeting with Brad Womack) and after the final date, Emily had already made up her mind.
Arie didn't even get a chance to meet the little munchkin -- or plead his final case to Emily! Instead of a final date, the Bachelorette said a tearful goodbye to Arie, eliminating the uncertainty of who would exit the limo first and get dumped at the final rose ceremony. Still, there was some suspense, as Emily questioned whether or not she would accept a proposal if Jef got down on one knee.
After a long (and I mean... LONG) pause, though, Emily did take Jef's ring, resulting in a happy, fairytale ending for both of them! Flashing forward, we learn that Emily and Jef are still together, and that Jef and Arie have even talked since the show ended, remaining friends despite falling in love with the same girl. On Good Morning America Monday morning, Jef revealed that he's moving to North Carolina to be close to his lady love -- ahhh, don't ya just love a good happy ending!?
Who would you have picked if you were in Emily's position?!
