The list of celebrity Scientologists is longer than you think and although they are not all as outspoken as, say, Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Kirstie Alley, they are just as devoted. TomKat's divorce -- much like their wedding -- has brought the controversial religion back into the spotlight and with it the celebs who choose to worship it.

Some celebs were born into the religion, some were introduced by a loved one, and some found it on their own, but they all agree there is no other way to live than by Scientology.

Tom Cruise

Joined: 1990 after being introduced by ex-wife Mimi Rogers

Outspoken: Yes

Famous Quote: "I've never agreed with psychiatry, ever. Before I was a Scientologist, I never agreed with psychiatry. And when I started studying the history of psychiatry, I understood more and more why I didn't believe in psychology." -- TODAY show with Matt Lauer, June 25, 2005.

Beck

Joined: Basically born into it, but on March 6, 2005 Beck publicly acknowledged being a Scientologist in an interview with The New York Times Magazine.

Outspoken: No

Famous Quote: "Yeah, I'm a Scientologist. My father has been a Scientologist for about 35 years, so I grew up in and around it."

John Travolta & Kelly Preston

Joined: John joined Scientology in 1975 and it's unclear when Kelly joined, but she was introduced by her acting teacher.

Outspoken: Yes

Famous Quote: "Johnny is definitely my rock. Kirstie (Alley) is one of my absolute best friends. My mom, my brother. And to be honest, the Scientology center. I don't know if I would have made it through without it. We've been able to navigate through it and to come to a place that is a lot better." -- Kelly Preston on the death of their son.

Laura Prepon

Joined: December 2007 was when Laura gave confirmation, via a Women's Health interview, that she was a Scientologist.

Outspoken: No

Famous Quote: "Anyone who knows me is just like, 'Wow, if Laura is a Scientologist, then there has to be something to this.' When I hear something negative, I don't get defensive. I know what's true for me and what works for me."

Kirstie Alley

Joined: The exact year is unknown, but Kirstie was born and raised Methodist and became a Scientologist after entering a Scientology-affiliated drug treatment program to end her cocaine addiction.

Outspoken: Yes

Elisabeth Moss

Joined: Born into Scientology
