Today, our favorite wizard Daniel Radcliffe celebrates his23rd birthday and let’s be honest – he’s not your typical23-year-old. Getting his start in the entertainment business at the wee age of10, he’s accomplished more than most 20-somethings could ever dream of. Yeah,while we’re scraping together quarters to do our laundry, Daniel is off makingbox office history.

To celebrate Dan’s special day, let’s take a stroll downmemory lane and see how he went from Harry Potter to full-blown A-list star.

2000: Landed the role of a lifetime in Harry Potter &the Sorcerer’s Stone with this epic screen test.

2002 – 2009: He continued the famous role with five othermajor films alongside his pals Emma Watson and Rupert Grint.

2007: Daniel leaves his mark on Hollywood – literally! Hishand and footprints are cemented outside Hollywood’ Grauman’s Chinese Theaterwith Potter co-stars Emma and Rupert.

2008: Daniel ditched his clothes to prove he’s a seriousactor by going fully nude while starring in Equus in London.

2009: During an interview with GQ magazine, Daniel revealedto the world that while shooting the previous Harry Potter movies, he had adrinking problem and was often drunk while on set.

"I became so reliant on [alcohol] to enjoy stuff," he said. "I really got away with that because there were many instances when a paparazzi shot like that could have been taken."

2010 – 2011: Harry and the gang closed the book on the finaltwo films Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 & 2, also having oneof the biggest openings in box office history.

Part 1 opened with $125,017,372 and Part 2 brought in$169,189,427. Until recently, Part 2 held the number one spot at THE biggestopening in history until The Avengers came along with $207,438,708.

2011 – 2012: Daniel did the thing most actor’s that want tobe taken seriously do – he headed to Broadway for How to Succeed in BusinessWithout Really Trying.

2012: He stars as the lead role in his first major film post-Potter,The Woman in Black.

2012: Daniel is currently filming Kill Your Darlings, abiopic on poet Allen Ginsberg.
