Taking a page right out of Beyonce's book, Kanye West is ready to "put a ring on it," MAYBE!!

Kanye has reportedly sought the help of a "private jeweler" to design his lady love, Kim Kardsahian, a custom engagement ring, Radar Onlineexclusively reports. However, the smitten rapper plans to hold off on his proposal until Kim's divorce from Kris Humphries is finalized.

Radar has the deets on Kim's custom jewelry, reporting that the gems will come from his late mother's collection of jewels. "Kanye picked out some of Donda's most expensive pieces, including some diamond earrings and a ruby ring," a source stated. "He then gave them to a private jeweler friend to make Kim a one-of-a-kind engagement ring."

The source went on to say, "Donda was such an important person in Kanye's life, he thought the world of her and was devastated when she died. So, he kept all her jewelry as keepsakes -- a lot of the pieces were items he bought over the years after he made it as a hip-hop star. And now Kanye has found a woman he respects and loves as much as his mom, so he wants to share her jewelry collection with Kim."

WHOA!! What an AMAZING gesture on Kanye's part -- if it's true that is!
