Katie Holmes may not have planned her divorce to coincide with every magazine cover, but it sure seems like it and in her latest interview, which took place one day before she filed, Katie completely avoided mentioning Tom Cruise's name.

Katie is on the August 2012 issue of C Magazine and in the interview there is not one mention of Tom... Even when directly asked about their marriage. When asked if having Suri brought her and Tom closer together, Katie replied, "I don't know. I mean... I don't know. People have been having babies a long time."

C Magazine's senior editor notice the fact that Katie didn't mention Tom, telling WWD, "Going back over the tapes, there were signs: Holmes was certainly very aware of herself, laying a couple cards on the table but never showing her whole hand. Most noticeably, the one name decisively absent from her lexicon: Tom Cruise. She never actually refers to him by name over pages and pages of transcription."

Although Katie didn't have much to say about Tom, she did dish on balancing her personal life and her work life. "I feel like I worked so much at such a young age that I really wanted to have life experiences. I feel more balanced and like I have more to bring to the table... I always felt like I wanted to catch up [in my personal life] to what I was doing [in my career]."

Katie has spent the last few years dedicating all her time to her daughter, but the actress is ready to get back to work and her first gig..... BROADWAY!
