Tom Cruise may not have seen it coming, but in a pre-split interview with Elle magazine, Katie Holmes indirectly reveals marriage troubles.  Katie is featured on the cover of the August 2012 issue of the fashion mag and in the interview she dished on her marriage of just over 5 years and more.

When asked about her husband Tom, Katie replied, "He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years . . . I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that." As for her marriage to Tom helping her career, Katie said, "Things are not handed to anyone. If anything, you work a little bit harder when you're in such visible circumstances."

Who knows how Katie's interview would've come across had she not filed for divorce, but it seems clear at the time of the interview, Katie was already breaking away from Tom weeks ago.

Although her marriage to Tom is a hot topic, it wasn't the only topic Elle touched on other subjects as well, like Katie's age. On being in her 30s, Katie said, "I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin. I feel sexier. I think in my twenties — it's like you're trying too hard to figure everything out . . . I'm starting to come into my own. It's like a new phase."
