Katie Holmes Finally Breaks Post-Divorce Silence: "I'm Alright"

Katie Holmes has been out and about the last few days, despite filing for divorce from Tom Cruise just a week ago.

While running some errands and shopping with daughter Suri Cruise on the Fourth of July, Katie finally broke her post-split silence when a reporter asked how she was holding up. "I'm alright," she told The Daily News. "Thank you."

Since the split, Katie has been focusing on parenting and what she wants most out of the divorce is custody of Suri, rather than money. We'll have to see how this one plays out, but it's great to see that Katie is holding up and being strong for Suri's sake during this hard time.

the last thing Katie needs is a new man. right now she should focus on this divorce and keeping a clear head, she deserves full custody of suri that brain-washing crazy ass cult tom cruise is into sounds terrifying
