We almost hate to say it, but divorcing Tom Cruise seems to have been a great career move for Katie Holmes!
Since the divorce, Katie has filmed a spot as a guest judge on Project Runway: All Stars, announced she will show her fashion line at New York Fashion Week this September, and will appear on the cover of the August issue of Elle. Now it's been confirmed that Katie is headed back to Broadway this fall, according to Yahoo, with a major role in the five-character comedy Dead Accounts!

Believe it or not, Katie won't even have the lead role in this! The play focuses on a son who returns to his family's home in Cincinnati surprisingly wealthy. Katie is playing the role of the concerned sister who is living with their elderly parents.
The last time Katie performed on Broadway was in the 2008 play All My Sons, which she only received mixed reviews for. Either way, she is really showing a willingness to get her hands dirty by passing on large movie and TV roles to do the eight show per week grind of Broadway. And it looks like all of her New York-centric projects mean Katie is intent on staying put in NYC and giving her daughter Suri a normal childhood!
