Katy Perry and "indecency" usually don't seem out of place in the same sentence, but the singer may be headed to court after a performance where she wasn't trying to shock anyone!

Katy is facing indecency charges after a performance in India last April, where she helped kicked off the cricket season in the Indian Premier League. Katy asked for help onstage in how to swing a cricket bat from Aussie player Doug Bollinger, but the move offended a lawyer in attendance so much that he filed a complaint "on the public's behalf," according to The Sun, and a court is set to hear the case at the end of the month!

The lawyer alleged that the opening of her show was "obscene and lascivious" and "distracted students who were writing exams at the time." Um, who the hell is watching a Katy Perry concert in the middle of taking an exam?! Hey, at least the lawyer isn't asking for any money in damages!

As of now, Katy is not required to appear at the hearing and not expected to face any jail time over the incident. In situations similar to this one, a public apology has usually sufficed. We just can't believe this is even making it to trial!
