Alright, so we may have to wait a few more months to see Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling on-screen together in Gangster Squad, but it's definitely for a good reason.
Warner Bros. pushed back the movie's release date from September 7 to January 11 to add for re-editing and reshooting of a scene where a group of men open fire in a movie theater, according to Variety. This announcement comes five days after 12 people were killed by a gunman during a screening of The Dark Knight Rises in Aurora, Colorado.

The trailer for Gangster Squad, which was airing during The Dark Knight Rises, was immediately pulled from theaters because it featured the troubling scene. I think it's safe to say we can all respect the decision for the push back -- it'll just make us more excited once the film hits theaters this winter!
