Whatever happened to CNN's claims about their nonpartisan coverage?!

CNN recently ran a segment on Sarah Palin's thumbs-up photo after ordering from Chick-fil-A, the fast food restaurant that lets you order chicken sandwiches with a side of homophobia. The network didn't exactly hide how they felt about it though. During the segment, they played Stupid Girls by Pink before showing the photo of Palin!

A CNN spokesman released a statement to Mediaite that said the song choice was not intended to be a dig at Palin. “The music selection was a poor choice and was not intended to be linked to any news story. We regret any perception that they were planned together,” said the statement.

This isn't the first time a conservative lady has been in the center of controversy over music selection. Last year, Questlove ignited outrage when former Republican hopeful Michele Bachman appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and he chose '80s song Lyin' Ass B**** as her intro music, leading NBC to demand pre-approval of all the songs his band The Roots play on the show.

So far, no word from Pink on the snafu. Check out the video of the segment below!

What do you think of CNN's choice of song? Was the dig intentional or not?
