Four years after surviving a deadly plane crash, Travis Barker is ready to conquer his fear of flying. Travis and his friend/costar Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein both suffered severe burns in the fiery crash that took the lives of two other passengers and the two pilots. The rockstar has yet to board a plane again, but says, "It's something I want to overcome," PEOPLE reports.
Travis went on to tell Red Bulletin, "And my kids are scared to death to fly. I want them to witness me overcome it." Up first on his list of travels.... Australia! Travis explains, "I'm contemplating getting knocked out and getting on a plane to Australia. When I do, I think it's going to be Qantas. They never had a crash, never had a fatality -- knock on wood."
Travis is currently on tour in Europe with Blink-182 -- choosing to travel across the open seas in a ship rather than fly.
Wow!! Don't think many people would ever even think to board a plane again after going through such a tragic ordeal... Kudos to Travis for being willing to give it a go!
