Mags is the oldest competitor of The Hunger Games Quarter Quell after volunteering to take the place of Annie Cresta, the original District 4 tribute chosen in the 75th Hunger Games reaping. "It was obvious she didn't volunteer because she thought she could win, she did it to save her," Katniss says after watching the District 4 reaping. As most Hunger Games fans know, Mags plays a pivotal role in Catching Fire and quickly becomes one of Katniss' allies in the arena.
For those of you who haven't been keeping up on Catching Fire casting news, The Hunger Games newbies include: Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee, Jena Malone as Johanna Mason, Amanda Plummer as Wiress and Sam Claflin as Finnick.
