Lady Gaga isn't going to get flour bombed a la Kim Kardashian without a fight!

The Vice President of PETA Dan Matthews wrote a letter to Gaga's rep that blasted the singer for wearing fur (and the occasional meat dress) on several occasions. He then warned Gaga that by continuing to wear furs, she would "make (herself) a target" to the organization just like Kim K was! Gaga took to her website in response and penned an open letter to both her fans and PETA members.

The singer wrote that while she was open to respectful conversations about social issues, that did not include PETA's extreme antics. "I do not however support violent, abusive, and childish campaigns for ANY CAUSE," she wrote. "Particularly one that I respect. 'Animal Rights.'...I respect your views, please respect mine. And to campaigners, Save your flour to make bread for the children who are hungry. And Kim Kardashian is fabulous."

Gaga also answered PETA's question about whether the furs she has been wearing are real or fake. "I would think it hypercritical not to acknowledge the python, ostrich, cow hide, leather, lamb, alligator, 'kermit' and not to mention meat, that I have already worn," she said. "I have truly always stayed away from skinned fur, especially I have never been able to afford a nice one, but this does not mean my morals are rigid and that I won't bend at the sight of an absolute art piece of a coat...You see a carcass, I see a museum piece de resistance."

Lady Gaga can't afford a skinned fur coat? Really? Somehow, we're going to call shenanigans on that one. If you can afford a $12,000 per night hotel room, you can afford that.

Whose side are you on? Team Gaga or Team PETA?
