Everything Haley Reinhart touches has turned to gold as of late -- which is good news for the charities she's partnered with!

Since coming in third place on Season 10 of American Idol, Haley released a critically acclaimed debut album Listen Up! that reached No. 19 on the Billboard Charts and now has two tour dates lined up with Allen Stone. But Haley was at VH1's Do Something Awards because she's just as passionate about charity. She spoke with Hollywire's own Chelsea Briggs about the foundations she's involved with and why she's always been about helping others.

Haley currently works with Habitat for Humanity and the Starkey Hearing Foundation, but said she was partly at VH1's Do Something Awards because she wants to get more involved with charities that fight against domestic violence and bullying. "It's great to see my generation taking a stand and stepping up for what they believe in," she said.

Even amongst her friends, Haley said she has always been the nurturer-caregiver. "I've been the counselor to a lot of my friends growing up, so helping people comes naturally to me," she said. "That’s what all of us are meant to do: send out good vibes, good messages and help out." Right on!
