Like it or not, TLC show Here Comes Honey Boo Boo doesn't look to be going anywhere for the moment.

The show starring former Toddlers and Tiaras kid Alana Thompson and her self-proclaimed redneck family has been landing big ratings each week. More than two million people watched the premiere and the show has seen only a minor decline in numbers since then. A second season seems almost inevitable according to E! Online, but according to mother June Shannon, the decision about a second season lies with Alana!

Despite the big money that the family could stand to receive from more episodes of the show, June said they have no problem walking if Alana doesn't want to do it. "When Alana says she doesn't want to do any more TV, 'I don't want to do any more pageants,' then we're done," said June. "We go back to our regular life like we are now."

Until then, fans should gear up for another round of Alana chugging go-go juice and yelling catchphrases that are basically antiquated stereotypes of black women. Despite that, TLC is still very much a channel about learning. We used to watch it as kids to learn about dinosaurs and Egyptian pyramids. Now we watch it to learn that America, as a country, is screwed.
