Now that Jennifer Lopez won't be getting another massive payday from American Idol next season, it looks like she's trying to collect eight-figure checks elsewhere.

J.Lo has just filed a $20 million lawsuit against her former driver Hakob Manoukian for extortion, claiming he demanded $2.8 million or else he would go to the media with embarrassing private info and even have her criminally prosecuted! According to TMZ, the lawsuit is a countercase to the claim Hakob filed in which he said he was forced to resign after being publicly berated by J. Lo's manager Benny Medina.

J.Lo claimed that after becoming her driver, Hakob got other ideas and wanted to control her entire security team as well. When she quickly nixed the idea, the extortion threats came into play.

Hopefully Hakob learned his lesson and now knows to just sell his stories to the tabloids the next time he works with a famous person (although we doubt that will happen again). Either way, even if J.Lo wins this lawsuit, we highly doubt a driver has $20 million sitting around. It doesn't seem like she stands to gain much either way.

Whose side are you on in this battle?
