The show must go on.... And it will!
Kristen Stewart has been in the headlines for her cheating scandal for the past two weeks and finally we have other news to report on. The Snow White and the Huntsman star has landed her next gig! Kristen reportedly snagged the lead role of Peyton Loftis in the upcoming film, Lie Down In Darkness.
Kristen reportedly beat out Jennifer Lawrence for the lead in the film due to her extremely busy schedule filming for Hunger Games: Catching Fire and X-Men: Days of Future Past. The movie is based on the 1951 novel of the same name, written by William Styron. Scott Cooper has signed on as director, Vulture reports. The plot for the film goes something like this:
Set in 1950's Virginia, Peyton Loftis is a member of a dysfunctional family. She has one sister, who is disabled and to whom she is always compared. Petyon is often the object of her mother's jealous rage and the victim of her father's alcoholic lust due to her extreme beauty.
Sounds kind of creepy and depressing. Do you think Jennifer Lawrence could have done the role justice or was the director right in choosing Kristen?
