So remember how we reported yesterday that Lindsay Lohan was off the hook with police in the home burglary at a Hollywood party she attended? Well, she would have been -- if they didn't go ahead and list her as a SUSPECT!

Homeowner Sam Magid withdrew his statement about $100,000 worth of sunglasses and watches being stolen from his Hollywood residence, but that didn't seem to matter to LA police. They aren't closing the case and according to TMZ, believe they have independent witnesses who can identify LiLo and her assistant Gavin Doyle as the robbers!

LAPD detectives reached out to Lindsay and Gavin's lawyer to interview the pair, but their lawyer has rejected the request. We're not sure how much longer that can continue though because Lindsay is now a suspect in ANOTHER case. Police are trying to determine if she lied to cops when questioned about her car crash last June by idenfiying herself as the passenger and not the driver.

Because Lindsay is already on probation for stealing a necklace, being convicted in either case will result in a not-up-for-debate stint in jail that probably won't be too kind. Lying to police is a crime that is punishable by up to one year behind bars.
