The second season of Dating Rules From My Future Self is premiering today on YouTube and Hulu!

This cute, funny web series, starring Vampire Diaries' Candice Accola, got us thinking about who we would want to use as a "future self" for relationship and dating advice. We can certainly take a cue from successful celebrity romances, but we tend to learn even more from the mistakes stars make (ahem, K.Stew). Whether it'stips  from Taylor Swift or Russell Brand, check out our round-up of the 8 best celebrity dating rules!

Lesson 1 from Kristen Stewart:

NEVER CHEAT. But if you do, make sure it's indoors in a secured compound.

Lesson 2 from Katie Holmes:

AVOID MESSY BREAKUPS. Secret cell-phones and lawyers in 3 states always help.

Lesson 3 from Robert Pattinson

IF YOUR HEART IS BROKEN, CAMP OUT WITH A FRIEND. Preferably a rich friend who owns a ranch.

Lesson 4 from Taylor Swift:

WHENEVER POSSIBLE, DATE A KENNEDY.

Lesson 5 from Tom Cruise:

AFTER A SPLIT, TOYS MAKE EVERYTHING BETTER...Even if it's a teacup at Disneyland.

Lesson 5 from Ashton Kutcher:

DON'T DATE YOUR CO-WORKERS. Date them years later, after your divorce (bonus points if they look like Mila Kunis).

Lesson 7 from Liam Hemsworth:

IF YOU LIKE IT (and the "it" in question is known to be a wild child), THEN YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY PUT A RING ON IT.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth

Lesson 8 from Russell Brand:

NEVER SPEAK POORLY OF YOUR EX. Always say what a wonderful and kind person they are. Even if, you know, you kicked them to the curb.Russell Brand and Katy Perry

That about covers the latest lessons we've learned from celebrities! But tune into Season 2 of Dating Rules From My Future Self for more sage relationship advice!!
