Finally after weeks of bad news -- with the whole Kristen Stewart scandal and all -- Robert Pattinson has something to celebrate.... His latest film, Cosmopolis, opened in the No. 1 spot at the specialty box office over the weekend. It wasn't a HUGE opening like Twilight, but considering it only appeared in three theaters, a huge opening wasn't expected.

Cosmopolis was shown in three theaters in New York and Los Angeles and averaged about $24,100 per theater, earning a total of $72,300 for the weekend. It doesn't sound like much, but it completely blew away the competition, with the next limited release film Robot & Frank earning only $38,234, Gossipcop reports.

Robert has been very busy promoting the film and dodging Kristen questions, he's done interviews with MTV, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and Good Morning America and so far hasn't revealed much. And now it's being said that both Robert and Kristen have bowed out of the Twilight conventions.

What do you think of Robert's Cosmopolis success?
