Looks like Saturday Night Live won’t be losing all their best talent after all. When news broke that Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig were saying goodbye to the show, rumors were swirling that Jason Sudeikis would be following them out the door.

NBC has confirmed that that rumor is NOT true and he’ll be coming back for the new season. Happy dance anyone?

SNL creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels has hinted that Jason may only be a part of the show for a few months, “Right now the idea is that Jason will go through at least until January,” he told the New York Times. “[But] he’s a fiercely loyal guy, both to the show and to me.” Well that gives him plenty of time to play Mitt Romney during the upcoming election!

The new season kicks off this weekend with Seth MacFarlane as the host and musical guest Frank Ocean.
