Three of the most notable ladies that took home gold at the Emmys on Sunday were Claire DanesJulianne Moore and Julie Bowen. But as you can see, gold statues weren't the only thing that they had in common. They all showed up in bright chartreuse gowns!

Going from more of a sunflower yellow, to highlighter yellow to greenish yellow, respectively -- Claire, Julianne and Julie all demanded attention in these blinding gowns. But the Emmy gods (or the Emmy voters, rather) seemed to approve because they all landed wins. Claire got hers for Best Lead Actress in a a Drama Series for Homeland; Julianne scored one for Best Lead Actress in a Miniseries/TV Movie playing Sarah Palin in Game Change; and Julie took one home yet again for her hilarious work on Modern Family.

I legitimately adore all three of these actresses, but the color is not my favorite. The best is definitely Claire who opted for a warmer shade and a satin sheen. Julianne always looks ravishing, but the long sleeves and billowing skirt makes for just too much neon fabric. And that greeny yellow on Julie -- while she may be the only person who can pull that off -- it's just not an easy color on the eyes.

But if there's a superstitious Hollywood set, then expect to see this shade MUCH more on red carpets come winter awards season. Just bring a pair of sunglasses to your viewing parties.

Do you like the neon hue??
