Think about someone who’s perfect to star in a comedy about the raging narcissism and insane styles of the fashion world. You thought of Lady Gaga, didn’t you?

Well, there were rumors that Gaga was being offered the role of a “love interest” in the highly-anticipated Zoolander 2, but Ben Stiller took to Twitter and shattered our dreams of seeing the Fame Monster and the male model who can't turn left sharing an Orange Mocha Frappuccino on the big screen.

“Zoolander LadyGaga story is not true,” Ben tweeted yesterday. “Weird that OK magazine would print something untrue. Weird to read a made up story on the internet.”

(We would think he’d be used to that by now.)

Zoolander 2 could have been the perfect sophomore effort for Gaga on the silver screen, following her role in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete Kills (sure to be totally gonzo). Not only would she get a chance to wear some outrageous costumes (as we know she likes to do), but it also seems the perfect kind of role to play to her strengths — it takes a major ego to square off against Derek Zoolander!

Then again, Gaga would have some big shoes to fill, since the love interest in the first Zoolander was his wife Christine Taylor. Could it be that Ben just doesn’t think Gaga is really, really good-looking?
