Get ready for One Direction’s next single Little Things off their upcoming album Take Me Home because according to songwriter Ed Sheeran, the fellas slowed things down for us a bit. Those boys -- always throwing us for a loop. As great as their song Live While We’re Young is (you know you can’t stop singing it – be honest), it was a bit predictable for 1D. But Ed, who wrote Little Things, explains that the guys wanted to change things up a bit this time.

"I think they just wanted to try something different. I think they did the same formula with the last single — it sounded like a One Direction song — and now I think they want to switch it up a bit,” he told Capital FM.

The acoustic ballad is said to be a bit similar to the last song Ed penned for the boys’ -- Moments off their debut album Up All Night. Talking up the songwriting process for Little Things, Ed explained, “It’s got one of my favorite lines that I’ve ever written in a song. Harry says, ‘I know you never like the sound of your voice on tape and you never like to know how much you weight and you still have to squeeze into your jeans, but you’re perfect to me.’” Hearing Harry sing that to you has to be every female’s ultimate dream.

Take Me Home drops November 13th, but I’m sure you didn’t need me to tell you that since you probably have a countdown already going!
