You better redneckognize that Honey Boo Boo might become the most unlikely gay rights advocate of this decade.

The seven-year-old reality show starlet has already been open about supporting her gay uncle, who she refers to as "Uncle Poodle." Now she and her family taking it a step further by wearing purple today in support of Spirit Day, according to E! Online. The day is designed to take a stand against bullying gay people and other celebrities including Snooki and Ricky Martin will also taking part.

"We've always supported gay people, even long before the show started," said family matriarch Mama June. "We didn't just do it because we have the show. Some people are kind of scared—what you'd call homophobes—but everyone knew (my husband) Sugar Bear had a gay brother. It's not a big deal."

Honey Boo Boo has spoken out in support of gay people before on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo and it's one of the few non-cringeworthy moments of comedy gold on the show. Check out the brief clip below!
