Since Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth got engaged back in June, we’ve seen the ring, we’ve seen how happy they are and also heard how ecstatic they are about their new life. But what about the proposal? We’ve been waiting patiently to hear about how it went down and Miley is finally giving up some dirt!

She stopped by The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and dished how her "Backyard Sessions" she started last summer was where it happened! While recording Lilac Wine, she explained, “About 20 minutes after the recording for that song – it’s one of Liam’s favorite songs. He asked me to marry him like 20 minutes later.”

She continued, “So while I was singing that song I had no idea. And he’s sitting there, and I’m like, ‘He’s looking at me funny!’ And then, I knew.”

Props to you, Liam! You made the proposal oh-so-adorable, but so personal to you guys. You two may have just become my new favorite celebrity couple!
