Taylor Swift is none too happy about John Mayer claiming he was "so humiliated" when he first heard Taylor's song Dear John.  "How presumptuous!" said Taylor, "I never disclose who my songs are about." She definitely likes to keep 'em guessing, considering she's stayed mum on who the track We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together was about either.

We're sure most of Taylor's ballads are about her well-known exes, and if so, she's in good company. There are plenty of amazing songs from famous singers that are rumored to be inspired by other famous people... Check out these emotionally-loaded songs and their rumored famous inspirations.

SONG 1: Alanis Morisette's You Oughta Know

Rumored Muse: Her ex-boyfriend Dave Coulier, aka Uncle Joey

Key Lyrics: "And every time I scratch my nails down someone else's back/ I hope you feel it... Well, can you feel it?"

This is definitely the edgiest thing every associated with Dave Coulier -- I hope he milks it when picking up chicks now.

SONG 2: Carly Simon's You're So Vain

Rumored Muse: Warren Beatty

Key Lyric: "You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you."

Obviously, this classic needs to be on the list -- it's just the best song lyric ever written about an ex, since Warren can never really admit to knowing that the song is about him. Maybe T.Swift should have pulled a move like that.

SONG 3: Justin Timberlake's Cry Me a River

Rumored Muse: Britney Spears, duh.

Key Lyrics: "You don't have to say what you did/ I already know, I found out from hiiiiiiiim."

Justin claims that the song wasn't about Britney, but it was timed with their breakup AND he cast a Britney lookalike in the vid. So either he was lying or he's toying with our emotions since it's a perfect end to the JT-Brit saga. Either way, we'll take it.

SONG 4: 311's Amber

Rumored Muse: Nicole Sherzinger

Key Lyrics: "Whoa, amber is the color of your energy/ Whoa, shades of gold displayed naturally"

This was more confirmed than rumored considering frontman Nick Hexum was engaged to Nicole at the time -- and she made a cameo in the music video. But I guess all that even the most golden flecks couldn't keep them together. They broke off their engagement back in 2004.

SONG 5: Billy Joel's Uptown Girl

Rumored Muse: Elle MacPherson

Key Lyrics: "You know I can't afford to buy her pearls/ But Maybe someday when my ship comes in/ She'll understand what guy I've been/ Then I'll win"

Billy Joel was dating Elle when he wrote the song, but later dedicated it to Christie Brinkley, who he later married. Needless to say, Billy can now buy enough pearls to satisfy the entire supermodel population of Manhattan.

SONG 6: Gwen Stefani's Hollaback

Rumored Muse: Courtney Love

Key Lyrics: "I heard you were talking sh**/ And you didn't think that I would hear it/ People hear you talking like that, getting everybody fired up."

Courtney told Seventeen Mag back in the day that she thought Gwen was a "cheerleader" in the "smoker's shed"... and that was just on the record. Gwen responded in turn by releasing this single which is almost definitely about the rift with Courtney. Seven years later... Gwen definitely won that battle.

SONG 7: Amy Winehouse's Me & Mr. Jones

Rumored Muse: Nas

Key Lyrics: "Destiny 9 and 14/ Nobody stands between my man / Cause it's me and Mr. Jones."

After Amy's death, Nas revealed that the track is about him, backing it up with some convincing evidence -- the two shared a producer and the song mentions his birthday (9/14) and his daughter's name Destiny. Oh, and his last name is Jones. Soooo, okay yeah, we believe you.

SONG 8: Madonna's Miles Away

Rumored Inspiration: Her ex-husband Guy Ritchie

Key Lyrics: "I looked in the mirror and I saw your face/ You looked right through me, you were miles away."

Madonna didn't exactly veil the inspiration behind the 2008 song, timed with her divorce from Guy. She said it was about a couple that grows apart and becomes "emotionally retarded." There aren't exactly private moments when you marry Her Madgesty.
