Happy Friday everyone! So it’s pretty much Halloween and Victoria Justice has just one trick-or-treating tip for you – don’t lose your younger siblings! Or your night will end up just like her newest movie Fun Size! Victoria plays Wren, a high-schooler who just wants to go to the hottest part of the year, hosted by her crush, but instead is stuck with taking her little brother trick-or-treating.
Hollywire’s own Chelsea Briggs chatted with the cast (Suburgatory’s Jane Levy, Project X’s Thomas Mann, Osric Chau, and Jackson Nicoll) about the new movie, all the fun they had on set and their own Halloween horror stories!
Victoria, Jane, Thomas, and Osric totally bonded on the Cleveland set of Fun Size, becoming good friends – which you could see in their interview! The four of them dished on their experience making the film (“getting to meet each other” was the highlight) and the funniest scenes. One of Victoria’s favorite scenes – when the four main characters meet up in the convenience store and Wren & April (Levy) convince Peng (Chau) & Roosevelt (Mann) to help look for Wren’s little brother Albert (Nicoll).
So when it comes to embarrassing Halloween costumes, at the time they seem like a great idea, but Chelsea had the cast take a look back and reevaluate things. Osric once dressed up for Halloween as a Power Ranger (awesome!) – in women’s tights (less awesome). Jackson was a sumo wrestler (super cool!) – until his costume deflated (bummer). And Victoria? She once dressed up as a ketchup bottle – hmm, jury’s out on that costume.
So why should you go see Fun Size? Well, according to Thomas, the movie’s a fun adventure about kids that “just wanna hang out and they just wanna be happy.” Plus, Osric adds, “Halloween is a time for fun!” I don’t know about you, but I can go with that! Fun Size is in theaters TODAY!
Let’s talk Halloween costumes – dish on your most embarrassing costume or your favorite!
