Taylor Swift's love life is the subject of much discussion, in large part because she writes so much of her music based on it. So that means it's fair game to poke a little fun at her romantic woes during the Country Music Awards, right?

Returning hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood sure hoped so, since they teased the Red singer about her recent breakup with Conor Kennedy.

"The greatest trade of the year, though, had to be the Kennedy family, who somehow traded Arnold Schwarzenneger for Taylor Swift," Brad jokes, before Carrie has to break the news that Taylor and Conor split. Brad plays along, pretending he didn't already know, then asks if they'll be getting back together. "Never," Carrie replies, inciting a gag on Taylor's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together." (Unfortunately, the camera didn't cut to Taylor's reaction, so we have no idea if she took it well.)

And though this was the Country Music Awards, there were quite a lot of pop references, too. Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga's on-stage vomit antics were mocked in a parody of the pop song "Moves Like Jagger." And inevitably, yes, they also danced "Gangnam Style," proving that not even Nashville is safe from the infectious Korean hit.
