Can anyone guess which of these is not one of our favorite things?

The Sound Of Music is one of the most beloved movie musicals of all time. Even if you haven’t seen the movie, you could probably sing along to “The hiiiills are aliiiive with the soooound of muuuusic” (best performed with some Julie Andrews-style twirling, of course).

But now, NBC is remaking the 1965 classic, and the hills are alive with the sound of... Carrie Underwood?

Yeah, we’re scratching our heads too. Carrie’s a lovely singer and has shown some comic chops hosting the Country Music Awards, but she’s not the first person we think of when it comes to stepping into the shoes of the irreplaceable Julie Andrews.

Can we really buy Carrie Underwood as a nun and governess? The country twang in her voice doesn’t seem right for songs like “Do-Re-Mi” and “My Favorite Things.”

May we suggest one of these other Carries instead?

To date, Carrie has only guest starred on How I Met Your Mother and appeared in a supporting role in Soul Surfer — not much of a resume to take on one of the most cherished screen characters of all time.
