It was a fun-filled night of music at the 2012 American Music Awards on Sunday, with stars from varying genres like Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj and Carrie Underwood all in attendance!

Not surprisingly, the Biebs had the most success of the night, taking home three awards including the night's top honor, Artist of the Year. His protege, Carly Rae Jepsen, took home another big win by being voted as New Artist of the Year, beating out the seemingly obvious/expected winners One Direction.
