Over in Europe, they do a lot of things differently than we do here in the States. So which artists dominated the MTV Europe Music Awards?
Well, pretty much the same ones we’re crazy about over here.
Justin Bieber’s win for Best Male hopefully helped take the edge off his breakup with Selena Gomez, while Taylor Swift’s win for Best Female should help nurse her wounds over her breakup with… everybody. Other victors included Carly Rae Jepsen, Lana Del Rey, and the boys of One Direction.
See who else took home awards and watch our three favorite performances from the show below!

Taylor proved she earned her many wins of the evening with a sassy circus-themed kiss off to one of her many exes, looking true to her Red color scheme.
2. Carly Rae Jepsen - "Call Me Maybe"
