Phillip Phillips has come a long way since he began Season 11 of American Idol, and today's the day all that hard work pays off ― it’s the release of his album The World From The Side Of The Moon. Phillip chatted with Hollywire’s Chelsea Briggs about what aspect of the LP he’s most looking forward to sharing with fans, along with what happened the first time he heard “Home “ on the radio (a desire to turn it off!).
And prepare to learn something you didn’t know about Phillip ― not only does he love sweets and have a crush on a certain Underworld star, but in addition to his singing talent, he is also really good at corn pollination.

Phillip certainly gave a diplomatic answer when asked to choose between new American Idol judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, though they probably wouldn’t be too happy to hear that he won’t have any time to watch the new season.
But with a great new album to promote, we suppose Phillip can be forgiven.
