Even when she's not behind the wheel of a car, Amanda Bynes still manages to find herself at the center of controversy.
Amanda is now living in NYC, where having a car is an inconvenience more than anything, but switching coasts didn't help remove accusations of hot mess behavior. In Touch magazine printed a story last week which quoted a source that said Amanda was "totally out of it" while walking around a tanning salon completely naked. "That's not true, I'll sue," Amanda responded by text to Us Weekly when they questioned her about the accusations.
Believe it or not, it turns out the tanning salon is on Amanda's side with this one! Beach Bum tanning salon CEO James Oliver said he reviewed the footage on security tapes and talked with his staff, all of which confirmed that she was telling the truth. "Ms. Bynes was not acting inappropriately. She is a long-time client and we stand by her account," he said.
And with that settled, Amanda said she plans on moving forward with suing In Touch for printing a bogus story. "I'm suing In Touch for printing a fake story," she said. "I'm not 'troubled.' I don't get naked in public. I'm 26, a multi-millionaire, retired. Please respect my privacy." We're pretty sure she said she was moving to NYC to start her fashion career just two months ago, so it clearly looks like those plans fell through...
