'Tis the season for giving and kindness, and Carrie Underwood displayed just that during her recent Des Moines, Iowa concert. The country superstar was feeling a bit sick during her Chicago show, but instead of cancelling the next gig, she pushed through for her fans.

But about 90 minutes through her Des Moines set, Carrie was disappointed that her voice wasn’t up to par and made a hoarse announcement to concertgoers: “I feel real guilty about making any money on this show tonight,” she said. “So whatever I’m making is just going to go right back into this community.”

As the crowd went nuts, she continued, “I feel that’s the right thing to do.” Carrie has always had a big heart when it comes to giving back and donated all the proceeds from her Atlantic City concert to Hurricane Sandy relief back in November. Plus, on top of that, $1 from each ticket sold on her Blown Away Tour is going straight to the American Red Cross. Yes, Carrie, we love you.
