In the grand scheme of country music events, Monday night's CMT Artist of the Year taping was fairly low-key.
Still, some of the biggest names in country music, like Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert, as well as the newly-countryfied Hayden Panettiere, were in attendance. Of course, all three ladies were dressed to the nines -- so we're pitting them against each other in the fashion showdown!

Carrie kept it classy and fairly conservative, in a black pantsuit with sheer neckline. She was joined at the event by her husband Mike Fisher and took the stage to perform some of her hits.
Miranda Lambert

With hubby Blake Shelton busy filming The Voice, Miranda flew solo to the event, but dazzled nonetheless in a sparkling, open-back Jovani Couture dress paired with gold Giuseppe Zanotti shoes.

As host for the evening, Nashville star Hayden dressed to impress in a fuschia, one-shouldered Cavalli gown with slit up her right leg.
