2012 is ending on the best note possible for Dancing With the Stars co-host Brooke-Burke Charvet.

Brooke revealed in a home video last month that she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, but optimistic about a full recovery. She underwent thyroid surgery last week and just revealed the good news that she is now cancer-free! "I just got the results back from all of my tests and great news - the thyroid cancer has been removed from my body and all my lymph nodes are clear," she wrote on ModernMom.com. "And thank GOD! My surgery went really well and recovery is much better than I expected it would be."

Brooke said that she's spending the rest of the year resting and taking it easy, but is optimistic she will soon be back to her active lifestyle. "Every day I'm feeling better and I'm looking forward to getting back to my usual routine, but with a bit of a different outlook," she said. I've never been one to take life for granted and it sounds so cliché to say it, but this whole thyroid experience has given my family such a scare that it seems to have brought us all closer. And it's allowing us to ring in the New Year with a newfound respect for life."

Do you think we'll see Brooke back for the next season of Dancing With the Stars?
